If you try to log in and Bend says "User not found," it almost always means one thing: you haven't created a Bend account yet. You may have paid for a subscription, but a subscription and a Bend account are two separate things. Here's what's going on and how to get back in.
Why this happens
Your subscription and your Bend account are not the same thing.
- Your subscription is what you paid for. On Android it's linked to your Play Store account. On an iPhone it's linked to your Apple ID.
- Your Bend account is a login you create with an email address and password. It saves your progress and lets you use Bend across more than one device.
You can buy a subscription without ever creating a Bend account. So if you paid but never signed up with an email and password, there's no account to log in to yet, and Bend shows "User not found." Tapping Forgot your password? gives the same message, because there's no account to reset.
How to fix it
Create a Bend account with your email address. Your subscription syncs to it automatically, so you won't lose anything you paid for.
- Open Bend and go to the Profile tab.
- Tap Create Account.
- Enter your email address and a password.
- Finish signing up.
Once your account is created, your subscription should appear.
